  explores microbial potential to find, develop and scale-up new and sustainable industrial biosolutions. is using these bioprocessing capabilities to carry out innovative processes for commercial uses within a wide range of applications ranging from pharmaceutical, fine chemical, medical and cosmetics, agro-food and environmental industries.

Through a predesigned research “Chemistry to Biotech” platform named evaluates the feasibility of developing successful bioprocesses, providing the proof-of-concept of the bio-processes and/or bio-products and studying the potential implementation in different industrial settings. The process may range from a single biotransformation step catalyzed by a single enzyme to a complete biosynthesis pathway of a compound catalyzed by whole cell systems.

The ultimate goal of is improving industrial performance implementing clean and sustainable bioprocesses as innovative solutions to better safe-guard the natural environment and the world’s resources.

In addition is developing, within the same platform, a portfolio of proprietary products of innovative biosolutions that can be licensed to improve process performance in all related fields of activity.

technology is the "Nanotechnology for Biomedicine" Platform. It is based on the design and production of recombinant multifunctional proteins in bacterial cell factories, to be used as targeted delivery systems for active molecules such nucleic acids, peptides or protein based-drugs. The aim of this platform is to reach a proof-of-concept of the designed systems that allows achieving commercial medical purposes.

provides strategic consultancy services on bioprocesses development and scaling-up, advice on the most appropriate routes to manufacture, on debottlenecking and technical troubleshooting on production bioprocesses, biotech-facilities concept design and training on several bio-techniques.
